CREATING YOUR COINMAMA ACCOUNT
Haven’t created an account at Coinmama yet? No need to worry, it’s incredibly easy.
Just head to https://www.coinmama.com/, hit the Sign Up button and fill out the details.
A verification link will be sent to the email address you registered. Just hit Confirm Your Email and you’ll be automatically taken to a verification page.
On that page, simply:
- Fill out your personal info and hit Next
- Upload your ID – to do this you will need to select ID type, enter the ID number and expiration date, and then upload photos of your ID.
- NOTE: For added security, Coinmama also requires you to upload a photo of yourself holding the ID and a piece of paper with “Coinmama” and today’s date written on it.
- Once the photos have been uploaded, hit Send For Approval
- Wait for an email confirming the verification process is complete (could take up to 29 minutes)
NOTE: This fulfills Level 1 verification. For higher purchasing limits, you can move up to Level 2 or 3 by sending additional documentation.
BUYING BITCOIN AND DEPOSITING TO GALAXY
Once your account is verified, you can then buy cryptocurrency and send it to fund your sports account.
First, you’ll want to go to the Galaxy website since that’s where you will be getting the address to send the funds to.
Just log in to your account and follow these steps:
- Open the Cashier
- Select Deposit
- Select Bitcoin
- Enter the amount to deposit (this must be the exact amount you want to deposit)
- Claim a bonus (optional)
- Hit GET ADDRESS
You will now need to copy this address. You can either highlight by dragging or copy instantly by hitting the small copy icon (like two sheets of paper) to the right side of the address. Please do NOT type the address by hand. Always use the copy-paste feature!
Next, return to the Coinmama page and follow these steps:
- Hit the Buy button at the top of your screen
- Choose the cryptocurrency of your choice from the drop-down menu
***For the rest of this example, we will use Bitcoin (BTC)***
- Select your preferred currency: USD, CAD, EUR, etc.
- Choose to either buy one of the suggested amounts of Bitcoin, or
- Choose to buy any custom amount by entering the info in the fields at the bottom.
- Hit Buy Now or Buy BTC
The amount you choose must match exactly the amount you requested to deposit in the Galaxy Cashier!
On the following screen, you will be asked to enter your Bitcoin wallet address.
Here, you simply:
- Paste the address you had copied earlier from the Galaxy Cashier.
- Hit Go to Payment
On the next screen, select the Payment Method, check the amount and hit Buy with [Method]
NOTE: We recommend using a credit card. With a card, your payment will go through in just minutes. With bank transfers, it can take up to 3 business days.
Finally, fill out your payment details (credit card shown in the example below) and hit Pay Now to complete the transaction.
Your deposit will then be posted to the blockchain. It usually takes 10-60 minutes for deposits to be confirmed.
You can check the status of any transaction by going to the blockchain website and entering your deposit’s address: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer.
